  1. Entry Requirements and Visa Information

Electronic  Travel Authorization (eTA)

As of 1st January 2024, Kenya abolished visa requirements for all foreign visitors and implemented an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system. On 14th July 2025, Kenya announced having officially eliminated visa requirements for all Africans apart from Libya and Somalia and most Caribbean nations. This significant change makes travel to Kenya more accessible for international visitors.

  1. Health Requirements

It is important to ensure that you are up to date with routine vaccinations. It is required for all arriving visitors to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate, with some exemptions including infants below 9 months, pregnant women, people with severe allergies to egg protein, and people with severe immunodeficiency. Most regions in Kenya are free from malaria, except for some hot spots in the lake and coastal regions such as Kisumu, Siaya, Homabay, Lamu, Kilifi, and Mombasa. It is advisable to carry mosquito repellent and consult a travel doctor for antimalarial medications.
